We work with couples, families, adults, young adults and adolescents.
When you sit down with a Wise Heart therapist, our first priority is to understand what you’re struggling with from your perspective (after all, you are the expert on your life – what’s going on, where you’re stuck, where you want to be heading).
We strive to listen to your experiences with genuine compassion so that you feel heard, understood and accepted. All our therapists believe every human being has the capacity to change and grow in ways that bring our lives greater fulfillment and meaning and that the counseling or coaching relationship can help you access that capacity.
Depending on your goals for therapy, our work together could be brief or longer term.
Our approach to working with people is grounded in a humanistic, client-centered tradition and informed by both systems theory and attachment theory. We draw from a variety of evidence-based practices, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Bowenian therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
The main office of Wise Heart Families is conveniently located in Old Roswell Lakes, a beautiful park-like complex just a mile from GA400 in between Holcomb-Bridge and Mansell Roads.
Susannah Bales also offer hours Saturdays at our space in downtown Tucker.
At both our offices, we endeavor to create a calm, safe space for your therapeutic journey and we hope during your time with us you feel comfortable and at ease.
